not to sound like a noob (sorry!) but can someone explain the portal to me? like how does it work? what does it do? etc.

its a sales history tracker.. it helps you keep track of your shop history using a database, so that you know how well your shop is doing on a day to day bases..
Also it'll warn you if certain items in your shop are low in stock. Has a built in shop size calculator and some other cool stuff

if you have a mall shop then you need something to keep track of items you've sold and need to re-stock..

I used excel spread sheets in the past to keep track of items and stuff, but now i only stock maps and training items so its easy to keep track of stuff without excel..
But the portal is just a fun program for me to keep track of daily sales and such.. I hope it helps you with malling =)

when you are first putting in your shop front. do you find that it takes a long time to process? or did i do something wrong? lol

um...it has been processing for almost 10 minutes now...what did i do wrong?

Portal keeps up with what sold (it tells me what I need to restock which is important with 1,150 items) and a million other things like what has never ever sold; my sales for the day, how much profit I made, how long it will take me to get to a certain shop-size and how much it will cost...etc. etc. etc.
